The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) plans to close Kern Road between Clarkson and Orion roads in Orion Township from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, July 7 and 8.
The closure is necessary so RCOC crews can remove a number of trees along the road. The trees are either dead or pose a hazard to motorists.
During the closure, the detour route for Kern Road traffic will be Orion Road to Adams Road to Gunn Road and back to Kern Road and vice versa.
