Preparations are underway for Clarkston’s Labor Day Parade sponsored by the Clarkston Rotary Club, 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 6. This year’s parade theme is “Celebrate Clarkston Rotary’s 70 Years of Community Service.”
“Clarkston Rotary is proud of its 70 years of sponsoring the Labor Day parade,” said Rotarian Joel DeLong. “Rotarians enjoy being a part of the community, and being involved in many community service projects and events.”
Parade participants include community organizations, businesses, musical groups, marching bands, floats, equestrian groups, and children and families on decorated bikes.
Political candidates interested in marching in the Labor Day parade will be asked to make a $50 charitable donation to Clarkston Rotary.
The Labor Day parade route will be Church Street to Main Street, north through downtown Clarkston to Miller Road.
