Local talent at Coffee concert

Musician Joel Palmer and a host of local talent performs at Peace Unity Church of Clarkston’s Coffee House on Friday, Aug. 20.
This family-friendly evening begins with Open Mic time at 7 p.m., followed by accomplished fingerstyle guitarist and studied vocalist Palmer.
Palmer has mastered the art of interweaving vocal melody with guitar, creating a second voice as if he’s his own duet. His original songs are moving, inspiring, and clever.
Peace Unity Church, 8080A Ortonville Road just north of I-75, presents the evening’s entertainment and refreshments free of charge but gratefully accepts donations.
Aspiring musicians, poets, dancers and others can contact Rev. Matthew Long to get on the schedule for the August Coffee House or for another of the regularly scheduled events.
Peace Unity Church provides this venue for local artists and their fans the third Friday of each month.
