Letter to the editor: Car show’s coming

The Orion Senior Center and Golling Buick GMC is again proud to partner together in our 4th Annual Classic Car Show/ Community Event, held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday Sept. 18 with a rain makeup date of Saturday, Sept. 25. The show is free. And there’s no pre-registration for the classic cars.
Come and enjoy visiting with many area businesses and community groups. The show will be held at Golling Buick GMC, located at 1491.S. Lapeer Rd in Lake Orion`.
This year we have so many activities we will list just a few. In our Kid’s Area we will have sponsor Pee Wee Patch feature their bounce house as well as face painting and many other activities. Stars and Stripes Gymnastics will provide mats and instructors to show your children the proper way to tumble; Tootsie the Clown will be there from noon til 3 doing balloons and entertaining the kids. Watch for more details.
Our Food Court will have Chicago Pizza, who is one of our tent sponsors, serving their great-tasting pizza along with your favorite soft drink.
Culver’s of Lake Orion, another tent sponsor, will have their famous Butter Burgers, hot dogs and custard, and our food court sponsor, Buffalo Wild Wings will have their famous wild wings for your eating pleasure.
Again this year we will welcome Miss Michigan, Miss Senior Michigan, Miss Oakland County and Miss Congeniality of Oakland County. They will be here from 1pm-4 pm to sign autographs, have pictures taken with you and help pass out the trophies.
LA Dance will perform as well as the LOHS Junior Varsity Dance Team
This year we also have will have a Ladies Only shopping for the ladies who would like to shop while your husband is looking at the classic cars.
We will have businesses selling jewelry, cosmetics, clothing, purses and much more.
We’re looking forward to a fun-filled day and we have many more exciting events happening so look for more news as the date approaches.
