Goodrich Cadette Girl Scouts Alex McKinzie and Jessica Taylor accomplished their Silver Award. The girls completed various leadership and service projects throughout the year before their April 2010 culminating event. After 50 hours of planning and organizing Alex and Jessica hosted a Fairy Myst Overnight at the Ligon Outdoor Center with the help of their GS Troop #31. The 24 Daisies and Brownies that attended enjoyed games, a nature hike, fairy house building, an evening campfire with songs and magical crafts.
The Silver Award is the highest leadership/service award a Cadette Girl Scout can earn. Jessica and Alex have been in Girl Scouts together for 5 years and have recently bridged into Senior Scouts this August.
