Electronics recycling collection

Clarkston Community Schools and Computer Recyclers of Michigan host Computer and Small Electronic Community Recycling Day, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 25, at Sashabaw Middle School, 5565 Pine Knob Lane off Maybee Road.
Items aare collected at no cost to the community or school district. Donations of $5 are accepted to fund academic service learning projects at Sashabaw Middle School.
Computer Recyclers will drill computer hard drives to destroy personal information, and, whenever possible, working equipment will be donated to local charities. No items go to landfills. Collection will be in the rear parking lot, rain or shine.
Items accepted include computers, monitors, CRT and LCD, keyboards and mice, laptops, printers, laser and inkjet, scanners, fax machines, and copiers, toner and ink, audio equipment, computer speakers, DVD players and VCRs, cell phones, cameras, small electronics, small appliances, all cord and wire, all batteries except automobile, televisions, 32 inch and smaller.
Large appliances will not be accepted, and there is no early drop off.
