n Dispensaries could only operate if they’ve been issued a special use permit by the planning commission.
n Dispensaries would only be permitted in the following township zoning districts ? Local Commercial (C-1), General Commercial (C-2) and RO (Research-Office). Dispensaries would not be allowed as a home occupation.
n Dispensaries could not be within one mile of any other dispensary or within 1,000 feet of a church, public or private K-12 school or licensed child care facility.
n Total number of dispensaries in the township limited to one for every 5,000 residents.
n Dispensaries could only operate between the hours of 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. and the sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages on the premises would be strictly prohibited.
n Smoking or consumption of medical marijuana would not be allowed anywhere on the dispensary’s premises and all activity, such as growing marijuana plants and dispensing the substance itself, must be done indoors.
