Sydney Jensen, 11, sixth grader at Sashabaw Middle School, cut off 12 inches of hair and donated it to Wigs for Kids.
She went to Belleza Salon where Kelly Forbes cut Sydney’s hair, free of charge. Sydney donated her hair to Wigs for Kids, a non-profit organization.
It took her one-and-a-half years to grow it out.
“I wanted to do something to help out all the sick kids who have no hair because of cancer treatments,? she said. ‘I wanted to help make them feel better about being sick and not having hair. Twelve inches can make a wig for a little girl.?
