Gingerbread house
From 4-5 p.m., Nov. 22, the Brandon Township Library, 304 South St., will host a gingerbread house decorating class

Santa gifts shop
From 5-8 p.m., Dec. 2 the Goodrich United Methodist Church, 8071 South State Road, Goodrich will host a Santa’s gift shop. Christmas Memories

Casino/Brenda Lee

The Brandon latchkey program is now enrolling for the 2010-2011 school year. The program offers care between 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Daily activities and crafts are offered, as well as family discounts.

Dance class

Moms club

Beginning soccer
From 6- 7 p.m.,Tuesdays and Thursdays: Sept. 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, 30, Oct. 5 and 7, Brandon Township Community Park coed program introduces youngsters 3-6 years old to team sports and basic recreational soccer fundamentals. Eight sessions include instruction, drills and scrimmages to prepare youngsters for the next level. Bring a #3 soccer ball and full bottle of water to each session. Scouting
At 2:30 p.m., Sept.11, the Goodrich United Methodist Church, 8071 South State Road, Goodrich will host a meeting to join Cub Scout Pack 340. Boys going into first grade in the fall are welcome to join. Designed for boys in first through fifth grade, cub scouting combines outdoor activities, sports and academics. OCEF sale
At 9 a.m., Sept. 13, clean and reusable items will be accepted at St. Ann Church, 825 Ortonville Road for the Ortonville Community Emergency Fund (OCEF) to benefit the local food pantry. Books, clothing, toys collectibles, household, tools, sporting goods and other items are needed. No large appliances, mattresses, used building supplies or items in need of repair. Golf outing

Wojo’s Walkers
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sept 25-26 the Wojo’s Walkers will be hosting a community yard sale at Wojo’s Greenhouse, 2570 Oakwood Road. All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society and the Ortonville Crop Walk. Yard sale donations are accepted at Wojo’s Greenhouse daily 10 a.m.-5 p.m.. No clothing please. Basketball fundraiser

Relay garage sale

BEES
The BEES program in the Brandon School District is for children from birth to 5-years-old with developmental delays. To qualify for this free program, the child must display a delay in one or more developmental areas, including speech and language skills, motor skills, social skills and cognitive skills. Build a hanging basket
At 10 a.m., March 14, Wojo’s Greenhouse, 2970 Oakwood Road, Ortonville, will host a hanging basket class. Learn how to make your own hanging basket using annuals on the market for the 2009 season. The baskets are grown in the greenhouse until May when they can be picked up. Space is limited to 30 registered participants. The cost is $25. Parents night out

Memorial bells
The second annual Peggy Van Vlack Memorial Ring concert will be held at 3 p.m., today at the Goodrich High School auditorium. The event is free and everyone is welcome. The bell choirs, led by Kay French of Classical Bells of Sterling Heights, will play combined solo pieces. Grand Blanc and Goodrich Methodist churches, Faith Lutheran Church of Grand Blanc, and the Shepherd of the Hills Church of Howell, along with the Goodrich High School Bell Choir will be featured groups.
