Folks came from all across the Lake Orion area Saturday to prove a point to a panel of six judges: Lake Orion’s Got Talent.
Auditions for the upcoming fund-raiser — aptly dubbed ‘Lake Orion’s Got Talent,? took place Saturday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
After all was said and done, judges took on the task of choosing 12 finalists to compete Saturday, March 19 in the LOHS Performing Arts Theatre. Organizers say the grand prize winner will take home $1,000, and runners up will each receive $250.
The event, which runs from 6 p.m.-9 p.m, benefits 1,000 Conversations About Mental Health in Lake Orion, a grass roots organization aimed at providing community partners with the resources, knowledge and comfort level to have conversations about mental health.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the Lake Orion Review office, 30 N. Broadway in downtown Lake Orion, from Orion Township Clerk Penny Shults (call 248-391-4899) or at Palazzo Di Bocce, 4291 S Lapeer Road (no Saturday sales at Palazzo Di Bocce).
