Katrina Saunders of Ortonville has made the 2003 Elmhurst (Ill.) College softball team.
Saunders, a 5-5 freshman outfielder and first baseman, is a sociology and psychology double major at Elmhurst.
A graduate of Brandon High School, Saunders lettered three years in cross country. In addition, she is the recipient of both a McDonald’s and a Skandalaris Scholarship. She was also the salutatorian of her graduating class.
She is the daughter of Kevin and Lisa Saunders of Ortonville.
The Blue Jays will be hosting the University of Chicago on Tuesday, April 15 at 3 p.m. All home games are played on campus, 190 Prospect Avenue, Elmhurst.
Elmhurst is a charter member of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) and competes at the Division III level of the NCAA.
Founded in 1871, Elmhurst College is affiliated with the United Church of Christ. Located 16 miles west of downtown Chicago, the college is in the residential suburb of Elmhurst.
