Two Clarkston youths were injured in a car accident that happened at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday at the intersection of Seymour Lake and Baldwin roads.
According to Brandon Substation sheriff’s deputies, the two youths were turning from Seymour Lake Rd. onto Baldwin when they pulled out in front of oncoming traffic. Officials from the department said this is a common occurrance at this particular intersection.
Brandon Township Fire Chief Robert McArthur said it took emergency personnel 20 minutes to remove the two teenagers from their vehicle. One of the young men was transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Pontiac, while the other was treated and released at the scene.
The police report was not complete at the time of publication, so the other vehicle’s driver’s identity was unavailable; however, McArthur did state that the driver suffered injuries and was transported by ambulance for treatment.
