Independence Township Parks and Recreation has openings for Fall Women’s and Co-Rec Volleyball leagues, and Women’s 30 and Over Soccer League.
The Women’s Soccer League is still accepting teams for the fall season, Aug. 24-Oct. 23.
Games are Sundays at the Clintonwood Park soccer fields, 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. Players must turn 30 years old in 2011 to be eligible to participate.
Team fee for resident team is $350, $450 for non-resident teams. No playoffs for the league, but first and second place teams will each receive awards.
The Adult Sand Volleyball League also starts soon. Spaces are available on the Co-Rec Quads and Women’s Doubles leagues.
Women’s Doubles will play on Mondays and Co-Rec Quads will play on Wednesdays. Games begin at 6:30 p.m for the fall leagues. Games are played on the Clintonwood Park volleyball courts.
Team fee for resident teams is $100, $125 for non-resident teams. At least half of a resident team’s players must be people who reside in, work in, or pay taxes to Independence Township.
