SCAMP makeover

Over 200 people braved the cold, damp night to enjoy a benefit dinner, silent auction and tour of the newly redecorated, 12-room Addis-Walter House, Sept. 23.
‘I can’t tell you how amazed we are at the generosity of everyone involved,? said Anne Mancour, Designer Showcase House Benefit chair.
The Opening Night Benefit of the 2011 Designer Showcase House benefits Clarkston SCAMP, a five-week summer camp for special needs children and adults.
The home, 44 East Washington in downtown Clarkston, is open for tour from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. through Sept. 30 and from 11 a.m.-7 p.m., Oct. 1-2. The entire home, including decks and porches, was redecorated for the project. General admission tour tickets cost $10 and are valid through Oct. 2.
