The Clarkston Community Schools Board of Education OK’d 53 new school buses for $4,097,061, voting 6-0.
The purchase will be in July 2012 from Hoekstra Transportation, lowest bidder. The buy includes 40 77-passenger, eight 20-passenger, and five 53-passenger buses. The three year lease for current buses ends this year.
Funds come from the 2013 general fund, divided into 35 monthly payments with repurchase of the used buses at the end of the term.
