TOO BIG FOR THE LIVING ROOM ? A strong cold front moved through the state during the night of Thursday, Dec. 15 causing some very gusty winds in the Oxford area. The winds were so intense, they uprooted this large evergreen tree on Hovey St. near Moyer St. in Oxford Village. The National Weather Service reported a peak wind gust of 48 miles per hour was recorded at 8:22 p.m. in Pontiac. The high winds led to many downed tree branches and limbs along with scattered power outages. Photo by CJC.
