Pharmacy, dollar store new to village

Goodrich- Two new businesses will soon be opening in the village.
Marvin Pattah, owner of Goodrich Plaza, 8147 S. State Road, said that Goodlettsville, Tenn.-based Dollar General Corporation, the nation’s largest small-box discount retailer, along with PHARMD Co., a franchise of Health Mart, an independent pharmacy, will open this spring.
‘They both should be open in April or May,? said Pattah.
‘The project at the plaza should be completed as long as the weather holds out. Right now the former IGA store is up in the air regarding what’s going in there. We’re not certain to make that announcement.?
A Rite Aid Pharmacy and IGA food store were closed in the plaza over the past few years prior to the renovations.
Rochester resident Jason Chon will be opening PHARMD Co. in the former PC Goodrich building in the south end of the plaza parking lot.
‘Goodrich is a great location’we understand the need for a local pharmacy right here in the village. We’ll offer plenty of client services, consultation and a focus on how we can make the customer feel better’not just turn around like the bigger pharmacies.?
Lucy’s Pet Supplies & Feed along with Tom’s Coney are the two current tenants hoping to grow their business after the renovations are complete.
After more than five years of business, Angela Grogan of Lucy’s Pet Supplies & Feeds, will soon be reaping the benefits of a major renovation which started in November to the Goodrich Plaza, home of the business.
‘We can only go up from here,? said Grogan, who operates the business along with husband Bryan. ‘We are also going to expand next door’the space has been vacant for about two years after Amber Butterfly moved out. We really need the 700 square feet to expand our store. We’re planning on a new sign and displays in the window.?
