Nominations are open for this year’s Clarkston Community Awards.
Categories are Citizen of the Year, Youth of the Year, Adult-Youth Volunteer, Business Person of the Year, Community Beautification/Preservation, Community Enhancement, and Community Collaboration.
The awards will be presented during Michigan Week, Thursday, May 17, 7:30-9 a.m., Clarkston Community Church, 6300 Clarkston Road.

Clarkston Community Awards honoring local citizens, groups and businesses for their service to the community will be presented, 8-10 a.m., Thursday, May 21, at at Fountains Golf & Banquet.
Awards include Citizen of the Year, Young Person of the Year, Business Person of the Year, Adult-Youth Volunteer, Community Preservation, Community Beautification, Community Enhancement and Community Collaboration.
‘These awards honor the effort and dedication that people and organizations make to ensure our community is a great place to live and work,? stated Kelly Hyer, one of the event co-chairs.
Tickets are $15.
