The Louise Saks Parliamentary Unit hosts its annual workshop at the Oakland County Executive Office Building Conference Center, March 31, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Speakers will include Bloomfield Hills attorney William T. Myers’ workshop “Effective Involvement in Your Condominium or Home Owner Association.” The second speaker will be Carolyn Stubbs, president of the Michigan State Association of Parliamentarians, on “Annual Meetings: Your Time to Speak.” Also, the new 11th Edition of Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised will be available for purchase on the day of the workshop. Admission is $15 by March 23, $20 after, $5 for students.
The Oakland County Board of Commissioners issued a Proclamation at its March 7 meeting announcing April as Parliamentary Law Month, accepted by LSPU President Linda Meadors of Independence Township.
