A loose dog crossing Lakeville Road, just east of Glaspie, caused a 57-year-old Oxford man to be thrown from his motorcycle around 7:30 p.m. Monday.
According to the Oxford Village Police report, the man was traveling west on his 1998 Harley Davidson when a dog ran across the road.
While attempting to avoid striking the dog, the victim lost control of his cycle and was ejected to the shoulder of the road.
The dog was not hit and continued on, the report stated.
According to the Oxford Fire Department, the victim suffered leg and arm injuries and mulitple abrasions. The victim was transported by ambulance to Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital.
