The Road Commission for Oakland County announced that Lakeville Road, from Lake George Road to Curtis Road in Addison Township, will be closed to through traffic until Aug. 22 so that the road can be reconstructed.
The project will include resurfacing the road, drainage improvements and the widening of the Lakeville/Lake George intersection. Center left-turn lanes will be added to each ‘leg? of the intersection. The project requires the closure of the road because it includes the reduction of hill to improve sight distance as well as the replacement of a small culvert over a creek.
The total project cost is $1.05 million. The work will be completed by the Kneisel Construction Company of Wixom. During the closure, the detour route is Lake George Road to Predmore Road, Kline Road to Romeo Road and then concluding on Rochester Road.
