Clarkston is once again set to host an Independence Day Parade on July 4.
This year’s parade will run from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., starting from Clarkston Middle School on Waldon Road, traveling down Main Street and Miller, and dispersing at St. Daniel Catholic Church off Holcomb.
The parade is sponsored by the Independence Township Fire Department.
The fire department asks parade participants to gather to form a procession at 9 a.m. at the Clarkston Middle School on Waldon Road. This allows time to get into orderly procession and assures the parade will be making its way down Main Street by 10 a.m.
Come prepared with drinking water, snacks, sunscreen, etc. No restroom facilities are available at the staging area. Parade route ends at Holcomb and Miller Road at St. Daniel’s Church.
