Flip that switch!

The spirit of Norman Rockwell is alive, well and thriving in the Village of Leonard.
On Saturday night, members of the small community, young and old, gathered at downtown’s Rowland Hall for the official lighting of the village’s Christmas tree.
There was no slick marketing of the event, no slogans, no fanfare, no Tweets. It was just a simple ceremony; the kind you’d expect in a rural small town that hasn’t forgotten its roots.
After a prayer was said and the tree was lit, the group sang Christmas carols, ate homemade cookies, enjoyed hot beverages and listened to a delightful story read by longtime resident Marlene Mallia.
