On Veterans Day, November 11, 2012, a ceremony was conducted at the Orion Veterans? Memorial in Lake Orion. In the programs that were passed out at the ceremony, a mistake was made. The North Oakland County Young Marines were listed incorrectly in the program as the Lapeer County Young Marines. I wish to apologize for this mistake. They should have been listed as the North Oakland County Young Marines.
I want to thank these young cadets for several years of attending our ceremonies. These North Oakland County Young Marines demonstrate honor, duty and patriotism of the highest caliber. They add much meaning to our ceremonies. It makes not only me, but all in attendance proud to see these eager cadets who are willing to show their patriotism to our Country. Thank you North Oakland County Young Marines for all you do for the Orion Veterans? Memorial, our community and our country.
