More document scanning OKed

Oxford Twp. officials voted 7-0 to pay the Holland, Michigan-based Alcogare, LLC up to $15,768 to continue scanning government records and documents, then storing them as digital files. This amount will cover an estimated 300,200 documents, which includes building/site plans, meeting minutes, cemetery records, etc.
Turning them into digital files will help preserve them and make it easier for township workers and citizens to access them.
Last year, Alcogare was paid $30,900 to scan the township’s records. More than 500,000 were done, but the scope of work was greater than the price quoted.
