A little bit of Kentucky landed in Metamora Township Saturday as Banbury Cross Therapeutic Equestrian Center hosted its 23rd Annual Derby Day fund-raiser.
Centered around the 139th running of the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Banbury’s event featured silent and live auctions, chances to pick the Derby’s winning horse, a parade featuring some of Banbury’s horses and a fabulous dinner.
Banbury Director Jessica Moore said it was the most successful Derby Day ever as the event raised $98,000. A total of 230 people were in attendance.
