The Lady Wildcat Booters took a victory and a tie this past week on the field.
The victory came in a 2-1 match-up against Clarkston on May 14.
After giving up a goal within the first five minutes of the game, Katrese Moll tied the game at 39:48 mark on a second ball chance, said Coach Larry Ferris.
Junior Haley Hill kicked the winning goal with an assist from Karina Parker at 19:01 left in the game.
Oxford Junior Keeper Darien Bandel had 11 total saves. Oxford has had a 4-1-1 run.and improves their league record to 5-5-1
The Lady Wildcats were unable to improve their record after a 1-1 tie against North Farmington on May 20.
‘It was a defensive game until N. Farmington scored in the final 10 minutes of first half,? Ferris said.
‘Oxford freshman forward Katrese Moll scored in the first 15 minutes to equalize the score and Oxford Keeper Darien Bandel had 15 outstanding saves.?
The girls play their final game today (May 22) on the road against Groves High School in Birmingham. MHSAA Districts will be on May 28.
