Vacation Bible School starts July 8 at First Baptist Church

First Baptist Church, located at 150 Pontiac Street is presenting Kingdom Chronicles, a unique and dynamic five-day program for all youth in the greater Oxford area. The program begins July 8 and will continue through Friday, concluding the Friday Night Awards Program.
Pastor Jeff Porter would like to extend a cordial invitation to all youth ages six to 19, regardless of denomination, to participate in this week of special activity. Dramatic stories, Bible drills, contests, competition and refreshments area are just a few of the exciting features of Kingdom Chronicles.
One unique feature is the teen program which will be held in the evenings at 6:30 p.m.The program is open to junior and senior-high young people.
“A program of this nature will increase one’s knowledge of the Bible, instill moral character and enhance one’s devotion to God and country,” said Pastor Jeff Porter.
Free transportation can be provided to and from VBS. The Children in the canvassed area are to wait at their homes or at the street corner nearest their home fro the Bible School Bus. The buses will be clearly identified. The daily time period is from 9:30 a.m. to noon, so everyone should be ready for pick-up at 8:30 a.m. The children will be returned to their homes or to the corner immediately following the noon dismissal.
Parents of smaller children are asked to pin an ID tag on their little ones. Each may bring a Bible and a friend. For more information call 248-628-2911
