The Oxford Senior Mens Softball team that plays in the Northwest Parks and Recreation Association league recently won the 2013 Division C league and Playoff championships for the second year in a row.
The Oxford team, sponsored by the Oxford Parks and Recreation department along with Health Quest of Oxford Physical Therapy, has been in the league since 2006.
This was the first time the team registered back to back titles.
The team’s 2013 record was 24-3 and they finished the season with 18 victories in a row.
Oxford participated with teams from Lake Orion, West Bloomfield, Rochester, Birmingham, Clarkston, Waterford and Oak Park.
Members of the team included, Vinny Adragna, Doug Dalton, Jim Feltz, Alan Hafeli, Larry Jansen, Rich Katich, Curt Kowalski, Bill Marino, Mike Neymanowski, Jim Rose, Roger Ruggiero, Gary Terenzi, Dave Weckle, Pete Aguirre, Mike Murphy, Ray Graham, Rand Kulkis and John Calkins.
The team was managed by John Calkins and assisted by Vinny Adragna and the official score-keeper was Sue Johnson.
