A well-known Lake Orion optometrist, Dr. Robert E. Deck, has been charged with indecent exposure for allegedly exposing himself to a female patient at his office on Indianwood Road in August.
Deck was arraigned in 52-3 District Court before Magistrate Maria Soma on October 2 and was released on a $10,000 personal bond.
According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department, a 33-year-old Orion Township woman told police that Deck requested that he come to his personal office after she put in new contacts during a visit to his office. While in his office, Deck allegedly masturbated in front of the woman.
The woman told police that she made an audio recording of the incident on her IPhone. The audio was given to police as evidence.
Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard asked that any other women who may have encountered a similar situation to come forward.
‘When you go to visit a professional office such as a doctor, the last thing you literally expect to see is this. This predatory behavior is disgusting and we look forward to holding this person accountable,? Bouchard said.
Indecent exposure is a circuit court misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in prison.
