Clarkston Rotary Club’s ‘A Taste for the Holidays? will be on Oct. 24 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Bordine’s, 8600 Dixie Highway.
“This is our major fundraiser,? said Rotarian Jeff Lichty.
Last year’s event raised over $25,000. Beer brewed at local breweries and wine’s from around the world is the signature favorite at the occasion, 15 restaurants will be there to serve up cuisine, and ten wine stations and two beer stations will serve up adult drinks.
‘We will have plenty of variety and selection,? said Clarkston Rotary President Joel DeLong.
Bordine’s has just put up Christmas decorations, so the place will be decorated to the hilt.
‘It will be very festive and people are always in a very good mood,? said Lichty. ‘They enjoy each others company, lots of conversations go on.?
They will also auction items donated by businesses and Rotarian members, including bottles of wine and jewelry.
Tickets are $40 per person in advance or $50 at the door. Call Jeff at 248-625-4244 or Joel at 248-625-9741.
Oct. 24 is also World Polio Day. Clarkston Rotarians take part in the continuing battle against the disease by traveling to endemic countries to deliver immunization drops to children. The community can help with donations to the Polio Plus campaign of the Clarkston Rotary club.
