Police: Crash appears to be alcohol-related

The wreckage of two vehicles littered the intersection of M-24 and Drahner Rd. following a severe crash that occurred at approximately 8:04 p,m. on Thursday, Dec. 19.
A 2000 Chrysler 300 driven by a 46-year-old Oxford Township woman was southbound on M-24 when it was struck by a 2005 Ford F-350 pickup truck with a 34-year-old Davison Township man behind the wheel, according to a statement released by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department.
The Davison Township driver was turning from northbound M-24 onto westbound Drahner Rd.
The Oxford driver was transported to McLaren Oakland hospital in Pontiac.
She was reported to be in stable condition.
Sheriff’s investigators report that alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash.
‘It is believed that the driver of the Ford F-350 had been drinking,? the statement said.
The crash remains under investigation.
