Lake Orion’s girls won three games during the past week, including victories over Birmingham Groves on Friday and a hard-fought win over Royal Oak on Monday, 37-34.
The victories improved the team’s record to 10-6 overall and 5-5 in the OAA White Division. The girls could make it four consecutive wins when they face Groves again this week, on Wednesday.
In the Royal Oak matchup, Nicole Krier and Delaney Haan led the team with 11 points each.
The Dragons held a 15-10 lead at halftime and 22-16 after three quarters.
Royal Oak surged back in the fourth quarter to tie the game but Lake Orion took the lead for good in the back-and-forth contest with under a minute left, 34-32.
The Dragons? Krier and Hannah Hamay hit late free throws to secure the win.
