Gymnast wins state titles

Lake Orion gymnast Alec Krystek recently he was awarded Level 10 All Around Champion at the United States of America Gymnastics (USAG) 2014 Michigan State Meet. The meet was held on the weekend of March 22-23 of 2014 at the Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek, Michigan. Krystek was also state champ on floor, pommel horse and high bar. He took second place on rings and vault.
Krystek has qualified to the USAG Region 5 Championships held in Ann Arbor, MI on the weekend of April 12th and 13th. He will compete against the best athletes from Kentucky, Illinois Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. From there we hope to qualify for the USAG National Championships held in Long Beach, California the week of May 5th, 2014.
Alec is a senior at Lake Orion High School and is hoping to get accepted into the U of M Mens Gymnastics program. He trains at fLipSpot Gymnastics and Cheer of Lake Orion under coach Shawn Clement. fLipSpot recently celebrated it’s three year anniversary of operation.
