After five double-headers last week, the Lady Wildcat varsity softball team stands 1-9.
The team played Troy High School on April 24 where they lost two. Game 1 was a 3-2 loss. Maddy Dinges went 1-3, Skye Donaldson 1-3, Logan Medel went 2-3 with 1 RBI,
Alicia Aguilar 1 RBI. Game 2 was 16-1 loss Skye Donaldson went 1-2, Logan Medel went 1-1, Jordyn Zynger went 1-1.
They split a double header with Farmington on April 23 having lost the first game 4-3 after a walk-off homerun by Farmington, but turned around to win the second game 9-1.
On April 22 the girls played a doubleheader against Armada where they fell 3-13 and then 2-7.
The Lady Cats also lost to Lake Orion on April 18, 14-1 in game one, where Cheryl Banas went 2-3, Jordyn Zyngier went 2-3 with 1 RBI and Skye Donaldson went 2-3 and 15-0 in game two where Cheryl Banas hit 1-2 and Ashley Szymanski 1-1.
Oxford took two other hard losses to Richmond on April 17 in a 0-15 and 4-14 doubleheaders, Ashley Szymanski went 1-2 in game one.
‘We have a lot of work to do and have improved with each game. I anticipate a huge improvement by the end of the year,? said Head Coach Jessica Granger. ‘We already have seen a huge improvement from the first game of the season till now.?
