Those interested in learning about nutrition and maybe grabbing a little swag are invited to come to the Spartan Nutrition grand opening on Saturday.
Spartan Nutrition is located at 3755 Baldwin, across from Great Lakes Athletic Club. The event will be held all day on Saturday, July 19.
According to Spartan manager, Matt Cook, the grand opening will be like a trade show in which representatives from top national nutrition brands will be there to give away free samples and answer questions.
‘It’s kind of a trade fair and there will be some exciting things going on,? Cook said.
Radio station WDDB, 96.3, will be broadcasting and telling the story of nutrition and healthy living. There will also be a race car from Cody Hoover Racing on site for those who want to see a dynamic racing machine.
There will be T-shirt giveaways and door prizes all day. In addition there will be special pricing on many products, such as Hydroxy Cut, and other products.
There will be information about sports nutrition and visitors can learn about healthy living for men, women and children.
‘We are a full spectrum nutrition superstore,? Cook said.
Spartan also is very involved in the community, even sponsoring some events in Lake Orion and Oxford, including a road race for later this year.
The company is a full-service nutrition store with health product sections for men, women and children. They have large sections of weight loss and weight management products, as well as vitamins, supplements, sports nutrition, workout and strength products, health foods and other health-related products, including products for vegetarians.
The company is no newcomer to the nutrition and fitness business. There are 24 Spartan stores throughout Canada. Owner Joe Goncalves and wife came to the Lake Orion area because she is from Clarkston and the family wanted to raise their twin sons here.
Goncalves knew that a successful store needs great products, fair and competitive pricing and a knowledgeable staff.
The knowledgeable staff can help and wants to provide guidance. During the grand opening all day on Saturday, there will be representatives from many companies who can offer additional guidance and answer any questions about nutrition, dieting and health-related queries.
Cook said that everyone is welcome and can learn how to lead healthy lives for all of their lives. Senior citizens can even enjoy 10 percent discounts.
‘We welcome the community to come out, learn and even get some cool swag,? Cook said.
