‘While Royal Oak swam their best, we had an odd night filled with bus misdirection, interesting officiating, illness, injuries, and migraines,? Rank explained. ‘We know what we need to work on and we will be a much stronger team when we take them on again at the league meet in November.?
Earlier in the week, the girls swam a cross-over meet against Stoney Creek and lost 59-126.
‘I really just wanted to get the girls used to how a meet is run and get some times/scores on the athletes. Due to the fact that we had only practiced 10 times prior to this meet, and a number of family vacations, illness, and other responsibilities, we were not nearly prepared for this meet,? Rank added. ‘That being said, it was a good learning experience and we can move forward from here.?
The girls will swim against Troy Athens Sept. 11 at home. The meet begins at 6 p.m.
