Children are invited to dive into God’s Love at SCUBA – a Super Cool Undersea Bible Adventure at Northpointe Church. As part of the weeklong fun nautical event, the children’s fund raising efforts will be donated to Oxford/Orion FISH, a local food pantry.
“This year our church community is bubbling with excitement as we dive into our Super Cool Undersea Bible Adventure,” said Pastor Eriks Mezsets of Northpointe Church.
Plans include singing catchy songs, playing teamwork-building games, nibbling tasty treats from Dive-in Diner, experiencing electrifying Bible adventures, and creating Bible Point Crafts they’ll take home and play with for the rest of the summer.
SCUBA is open to children age 3 and up to those who just completed fifth grade.
“SCUBA is an exciting way for kids to learn about Bible people who went deeper in their faith,” says Pastor Mezsets. “We’ll be studying Elijah, Jonah, and stories about Jesus and his followers. Plus, kids will learn a valuable lesson by taking part in raising funds to help needy children in the area through the local food pantry and needs assistance program FISH.”
Each day will conclude with a festive Sea Star Finale that gets everyone involved in celebrating what they’ve learned. Then, family members and friends are encouraged to join us for our Grand Finale at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 17.
SCUBA begins on Monday, August 11 and continues through Friday, August 15 with an all-family wrap-up at 9:45 a.m., Sunday, August 17. “Divers” will meet at Northpointe Church of the Nazarene (at the Little Scholar’s Pre-school location), 2750 North Baldwin, from 6 p.m. until 8:15 p.m.
