The Oxford Hurricanes were one of 128 female and male teams from the Midwest and Canada to compete in this year’s International BOO BASH Lacrosse Festival held Oct. 25-26 at Seymour Lake Township Park.
Oxford’s girls played four games Sunday against TriCity Turtles, Orion Tough, Black Swamp Lacrosse and Heritage Hawks.
Parks/Rec. Director Ron Davis estimated there were between 5,000 and 7,000 people at the park Saturday, which he said seemed to pump a lot of money into the local economy based on some feedback he received from area business owners.
