The Lake Orion Dragons sport one of the best volleyball teams in the state and this week were scheduled to meet Oxford in a district semifinal match-up after stopping Rochester on Monday.
Get past the Wildcats and they will likely play Clarkston on Friday for the district championship.
The Dragons are 58-10-2 on the season and are ranked fourth in the state. They beat Rochester by scores of 25-13, 25-13 and 25-10.
Coach Tony Scavarda said the team seems to be clicking heading into this week’s challenges.
Hannah Murdock had 14 kills to lead the Dragons. Natalie Wehner had eight kills, Leah Kaluger had seven and Wies Hurkmans added six.
Koreen Varney had 15 digs.
