As their family and their community took to the polls, Andersonville Elementary students also had a decision to make on Election Day, Nov. 4.
They voted for who they would like to see as Michigan’s next governor.
It was a close race. The winner was Democrat Mark Schauer, who beat Republican Rick Snyder by two votes.
Schauer received 83 votes and Snyder, 81 vores.
The fourth graders on the Broadcast News prepared slideshows on both candidates with information about their personal life and issues to help the students decide who they wanted to vote for.
