The Oxford High School Cross-Country Team will be conducting a car wash from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20 at the Oxford Shell gas station on M-24. The cost will be $3 per vehicle.
The OHS Color Guard will be conducting a pop can and bottle drive beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16. Donors are asked to leave their bottles and cans in either bags or boxes on their porches or at the ends of their driveways.
The first annual Oxford Girls Alumni Basketball Day is scheduled for August 17 at 4 p.m. at Oxford High School.
Come join former Oxford Alumni Girls Basketball players as they challenge the 2003-2004 Varsity Girls Basketball players. The contest will include three-point shot contest and coaches free throw shooting contest. Former coaches and supporters will be in attendance.

The OHS Color Guard will be holding its last can drive for the season this Saturday, August 23, beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the neighborhood across from Clear Lake Elementary.
Last weekend’s can drive was intended to cover only the neighborhood across from Danial Axford Elementary, but the release provided to the Oxford Leader did not state this. We canvassed as much of Oxford as we were able and collected cans left out for us. If we failed to retrieve some of the cans, we apologize. Thank you for your support.
