The Orion Art Center is looking for original works of art made from recycled items. The show isscheduled for April 29th thru June 17th, 2015. Thanks to Waste Management, this juried show will include the following prizes:
Youth (12 & under)
Individual 1st place – $50
Group 1st place – $50
Teen (ages 13-19)
1st place – $75
2nd place – $50
3rd place – $25
Adult
1st place – $150
2nd place – $100
3rd place – $75
Best use of Recycled Materials
1st place – $150
2nd place – $100
3rd place – $75
All artwork must be original and not previously entered in an OAC show to qualify for a prize.
Artist drop off is Wednesday, 4-22 and Thursday, 4-23 from 12-6p and Saturday, 4-25 from 12-3p. Artists may enter up to three (3) pieces of recycled art and fees are $10 per piece for age 19 and under and $15 per piece or 3 for $40 for adults.
The opening reception will be Friday, February 6th from 7-9p at the Orion Art Center.
The Orion Art Center celebrates 36 years of helping to identify and promote local artists. The OAC also holds year round classes and camps, provides youth scholarships, hosts special events and produces the annual Dragon on the Lake Festival.
