Peanut the cat, other occupants, safe after Judah house fire

All four Orion Township fire stations responded to a residential structure fire at the crossroads of Flintridge and Grafton Monday afternoon, saving an orange cat named Peanut from the embers.
One occupant was inside the house at the start of the fire, who was safely outside by the time trucks rolled in.
The cause is undetermined, however, OC Criminal/Fire Investigations Detective Chip Schultz is looking into a possible electrical cause.
Major fire damage is estimated at $125,000, Fire Chief Bob Smith said.
‘it was very hot, very humid yesterday. We had to keep rotating the crews after a few minutes, getting them out, letting them cool off and sending them back in, but they did a phenomenal job,? Smith said.
Temperatures can reach between 300 and 400 degrees Fahrenheit inside a fire.
