Dragon boys’ basketball team keeps winning

Lake Orion’s boys? basketball team is on a roll.
The Dragons won two games last week and have won four consecutive games to improve their record to 8-5. They play Rochester away on Friday.
Last week, the boys beat the Maples of Seaholm, 46-31, in a defensive battle. Lake Orion held Seaholm to 12 points in the first half, which included only four in the second quarter. The Dragons scored 13 in the second quarter and led 21-12 at the break.
David Gomez led all scorers with 15. Steve Amijewski netted 12. The team also got some great contributions from Tyler Barkeley and Jamie Lewis.
Then, on Friday, the Dragons beat Farmington Hills Harrison, 66-50. The Dragon’s strong defense again played a large role as they held the Hawks to 17 points in the first half.
Gomez was again the team leader with 33 points, which Zmijewski added 10. Joel Thorne netted six while Mike Falter and Chris Dudek chipped in with five apiece.
