Five people were arrested at a house party on Perry Street on Aug. 31.
According to Lake Orion Police Chief Jerry Narsh, two police vehicles went to the home around 12:30 a.m. after receiving complaints about loud music and loud voices.
The 21 year-old homeowner told officers he was having a party. He invited them into the house and indicated everyone at the party was over 21.
“Literally everyone there was under 21. Alcohol was in abundance. They were hiding in the closets, running from the building,” Narsh said.
“One 18 year old female from Shelby Township took off running and they caught her in the ballpark. She’s been charged with minor in possession and obstructing police.”
Narsh said the homeowner was given a host ordinance violation (providing alcohol to underage kids). He could receive up to 90 days in jail and/or $500 fine.
“No ones going to tolerate underage drinking parties. There will be arrests and homeowners will be charged. ID should always be checked,” he added.
