In a 4-3 vote, the Oxford Township Board Wednesday night extended the Sept. 30 deadline for its withdrawal from the Oxford Public Fire and EMS Commission until it receives a ruling from the court as to whether or not its pullout will precipitate the dissolution or termination of the safety authority.
Voting for the extension were Supervisor Bill Dunn, Clerk Clara Sanderson, and trustees Pat Fitchena and Shirley Clancy.
Voting against the entension were Treasurer Joe Ferrari, and trustees Jerry Dywasuk and Charles Kniffen.
