Wet and wild Homecoming

The tradition continued despite the nasty weather as Lake Orion High School celebrated their annual Homecoming on Oct. 3 with a pep rally, soggy parade in downtown Lake Orion, and a 28-0 victory in varsity football over the Troy Colts.
The events kicked off with a LOHS Student Council-sponsored pep rally during the last two periods of school on Friday, and this year the LOHS classes created “chariots” instead of class floats, to display in the parade held later in the day. Members of the Homecoming Court had to forgo the traditional hand waving and ride inside Jeeps instead, due to chilly winds and driving rain.
Lake Orion High School Senior Jessica McLean was crowned the 2003 Homecoming Queen during the halftime ceremony of the varsity football game on Friday evening, and the festivities concluded with a dance at the high school on Saturday night.
