Carpenter Elementary was visited by several Oakland County Fire Cadets recently, as part of the cadets’ training is to share the importance of fire safety with children. They stressed that the three most important things are to stop, drop and roll; have a safe meeting place outside of the home; and to stay low underneath smoke. The children practiced all of the tips and were told to go home and tell their parents and practice there.
