On April 26, Brandon High School students won the Flint Metro League Math-Science Competition for the fourth consecutive year.
Fourteen students participated in 14 different math and science activities in the contest. Flint Metro schools in the league include Holly, Fenton, Linden, Lapeer East and West, Clio, Kearsley and Swartz Creek districts, who competed in the math and science competition.
The first place in the team component moved the Blackhawks into first place overall tying with Fenton.
Individual finishers include: First place: Guy Compton, – geometry; Laura Campbell, statistics. Second place:Nolan Tews, trigonometry; Avery Bills, pre-calculus; Tommy Haase, physics; Third place: Hannah Cooper, algebra 1; Adam Kelly, physics lab.
All League: Joe Prentice, physical science; Lilliana Taylor, biology; Lauren Zajac, chemistry; Cooper Hickmott – algebra II; Blake Macias, chemistry lab; Morgan Barton, calculus and Katie Gerhardt, biology lab.
